a matter of Time
I arrived to Syros 2 months ago.
Marley enjoys the pasture, a gorgeous female fell for his ebony awesomeness and he sleeps like there's no tomorrow. Maybe all or most dogs sleep that much. I don't know. He's the first paw-buddy. And what a perfect seminar he is. An experiential seminar within which i've grown and expanded. Dogs are freelancer therapists or ...
So, the year changed, stuff stayed the same, things have evolved, Time goes by...
and the counting is this...
1st month of the year is almost finished.
2nd month of the year is the end of my 2nd 6-months-timeframe [last year of decade]
3rd month of the year is the passing from 30s to 40s officially.
I believe i'm all done in regards to building the "base".
Travels to Opensea haven't yet begun but i've peeked with a hyper-Telescope and i'm excited. Building -at least- a raft is next in line.
Syros is a wonderful island.
One of these islands that you once you visit, your chances to stay forever are high {depending on 'Life's obligations'} .
Men of Letters & Wisdom have been born and raised here, or stayed for -x- years while they passed-by. Like everybody, they are "People in Time".
One of these men was Pherecydes .
He was born/raised/lived here back in 6 BCE.
While reading about him i saw that he used that cave as a shelter, especially during winter time.
I haven't visited it yet, but getting there and sensing the place is in plans.
It is said to be "between land & sky" and from what i've seen in photos so far, it seems to -indeed- be.
Hopes up to visit during Spring and loop&dive .
It surely won't have the vibes of Pnyx/Pnýka, but the isolation alone can clear the "planes" and the height of the cave helps to align with the Horizon.
"Αποστάγματα Σοφίας", is a books distillery project, in greek.
The opening book is called "Folds of Truth". It is a collection of essays written by a -somewhat- openMinded greek orthodox archmandrite, Timotheos Kilifis.
He "depicts" the connection between Hellenic culture and Christianity. Explains part of their dynamic relation and clarifies what the GreekOrthodox culture is. All is phrased in a very simple manner, but very insightful nonetheless.
Reading & noting was a relaxing experience for the Mind.
Next in line are "Love" & "Jonathan Livinston the Seagull".
These books should be part of every library and Mind, along with the *eternals* folder.
the *eternals* folder
the 'all Times favorites' imgs/gifs/bgs/etc
The folder we should probably show to psychotherapists.
When i'll get my hands back on .en books, then distillments of these books will be uploaded as well. Expect Philosophy, Psychology, Life & Being.
Hopefully i'll update soon with more news
month ends on Tuesday.
Take care .
